Up cycling A Planner

So this is my latest blog and first I'd like to say it's mostly to push me to do more artistic things and get my creative juices flowing. I'm naturally creative and I work with my hands I just feel at the moment a lack in motivation and skill in my artwork I'm not kidding but I figured this is a great opportunity to hold me accountable and push me to be more creative and strengthen my skills.

i do travel a lot on foot and  traveling doesn't give me the ability to carry so much things around with me. So because I need to improve my drawing skills I found a unique way to do so. I can not carry a ton of sketchbooks around with me and when I'm done with them I will have to  throw them anyways.

I've also been working on my blogs and channels on my Rumble however I need to be more organized with my planning of posts and videos.

So I saw that Hobby Lobby was having a clearance on some planners a few months back and they came in two different sizes. The larger ones were more than the smaller ones and they also had different layouts. I checked the planners often and thought carefully as to how I would go about using the planner with the layout.

I ended up choosing the planner layout that had the three boxes per day for the weekly spread.

I felt this gave me the best amount of space needed for what I wanted to do. I also did not need the calendar pages and planned on covering them up.

The tabs on the side gave me an opportunity to break up sections I wanted to work on.

Drawing skills was definitely one section I had to make so that I practiced a little bit at a time. I discovered I'm great at copying an image but wasn't too confident in coming up with the image in my head.

So below 👇 are pictures of what I did to my planner and the only thing I really needed was shipping labels which I purchased at the dollar store for $1.25. I'm on my second pack but still have plenty of labels. I finally covered the months and all the weekly pages.

Now I have a place for daily gratitude, practicing my drawing skills and put down on paper my video and blog post ideas.

It's a simple project that is great for on the go. The pages do get bulky however I tried not to cover everything just the parts I didn't care for.

It still works for what I need it for. The link below 👇 will take you to a video of this up cycling

I hope this gives you an idea on your next project perhaps up cycling a planner of your own too. I hope to bring you more creative ideas and just something to have fun 😊 and be creative. I find when I'm creative that's when ideas start flowing consistently.

Much Love

Ruth
